The next SCCA roadrally will be held in September. The DFW Map Rally, presented by Mapsco, will run on Saturday, September 6th. The flyer can be seen at www.texasscca.org/dmr08flyer.pdf
This rally will be much easier than, and much different from, the Classic. You will be given a special map, prepared for us by Mapsco, and some rules. Using those rules, you will determine your own route, and write your own route instructions. Then you will drive that route.
We had multi-car teams from Subaru, Crossfire, Italian Car Club, Minis, Honda S2000, and RX-8s last week. We need some BMWs!
This was the most popular event in the 2007 SCCA Regional RoadRally Championship Series. Join us!

Arrgh.. these always seem to conflict with autocrosses!  Luckily this is the day of the night autocross.. can you give me an idea of start/end times for the event?

Sure. See the flyer at www.texasscca.org/dmr08flyer.pdf for details,
but registration opens at 9am, first car out at 10am, and the trophy presentation should be over by 3pm. If you pre-register now, so you get an early number, you could easily be through by 1pm, if you need to leave early. I'll be glad to mail you your trophy!

I ran the Map Rally with the SCCA last year, and had a good time, though it was my first rally, ever. My girlfriend(navigator) and I did ok, I guess! Some segments where confusing. Reading the email/PDF Sasha sent out, this one might be easier. I will see if we can make it again.
