I agree.. I managed to slip up to the track for a few sessions in the afternoon.

LOL about the GT3...

It was very nice that several cars of different levels of prep were all pretty consistently running consistent times  together which made for a lot of fun!

You could say the Evo passed it like it wasn't even there!!!

Seriously, it was great fun. Thank's for putting it on, Brian.

Yep, that was fun. So....the GT3 got wrecked on the way to the shop to get the shocks put on. So what Ron says is true!

I ran a 2:03.7 at the NASA event. Had AST 5200 fronts and 4200 rears. I took passengers the whole time at our track day, didn't even take the spare out. Ran a low 2:04 with a softer setup, AST 5100 fronts (with DLC coated cylinders) and 4200 rears.

Here's a video from NASA.

http://ast-usa.smugmug.com/Track-Events-and-Videos/Video/9842258_ysNqP#669254914_z9R2X-A-LB

3700+ pounds. 320 whp. 265mm Yokohama AD07s (now mostly shaved).

Going to change things up for next season. I'm getting the 4200s back from Edmunds.com they used, going to a Hoosier 255 R6 so I can stay in TTA. The video shows how "tire limited" the Evo is at its porkiness. NASA put a point penalty on shafts bigger than 40mm and 5000 Series are 45mm. Coincidentally we're working on a direct Bilstein double adjustable insert replacement, but I won't have that for several months. Bilsteins are 39.90mm so they are legal.

Any testers interested in a Bilstein replacement?

2:03.7 on AD07s is a great time.

I saw an Evo at the ECR Toy day. That thing pulled like mad out of every turn.

Yeah, they don't lack corner exit torque.
