The 2010 Lone Star BMW Spring Driver's Education Weekend!
April 10-11, 2010 Motorsport Ranch in Cresson, Texas

Greetings LSC BMW CCA chapter members,

The Lone Star Chapter BMW CCA is proud to announce the annual Spring DE (Driving Event) and Club Race at Motorsport Ranch in Cresson, TX. The event will once again be sponsored by Classic BMW of Plano. The dates are April 10-11. The plan (pending some safety related concerns for corner workers) is to run the 1.7 mile course CLOCKWISE (which is opposite of normal). Since there are some things the track needs to do for safety related to corner workers, we could have to revert back to the traditional counter clockwise course.Registration will be opening on Monday, February 15 on motorsportreg.com. Pricing will be $325, however we will have an early bird discount of $50 off, so the entry will be $275 is you sign up before the end of February. As an additional incentive, all early bird entries will be eligible for a FREE entry to this event. Each student group (Novice, Intermediate and Solo/Advanced) will get one free entry (so we are really giving away 3 free entries!). Only early birds will be eligible for the free entry! Tell all your friends. Sign up early and sign up often! Remember registration opens on MONDAY, FEB. 15!

This is NOT a racing school but rather a safe, driver’s education event, conducted on a closed track under close supervision of experienced instructors that will be in your car with you. You will learn how to handle and control your vehicle at speeds not normally attained on public roads.  It will allow you to explore your capabilities as a driver and those of your vehicle. It will also help make you a better driver and to prepare you for emergencies in normal everyday driving.

The event is open to all drivers 18 years of age and older and all makes of cars. It is not a "BMW only" event. All cars and drivers will be subject to the same safety and inspection requirements. You will be required to take your car to a mechanic within one month of the event.  There is a tech inspection form that you must bring with you to the event that the mechanic information and signature must be on that sheet.  If you have not had this tech inspection done, there will be no provision to have this done at the event and you will not be allowed to run nor will you be given a refund.  Our sponsor, Classic BMW in Plano offers a special on this inspection and includes a brake flush (required on ALL cars within 6 months of the event) for $99.95.  Be assured that taking your car to them to get this inspection will in no way affect your warranty status with BMW.

All registration will be handled online for this event. We anticipate filling up quickly, so register promptly! Registration does not guarantee acceptance.  Cancellations will be allowed up to 2 weeks before the event without penalty less any credit cards fees incurred.  Additionally any referral bonuses that we credited by the registration being cancelled will have to be paid for by the referrer before being allowed on track. Cancellations within 2 weeks of the event will be allowed a credit towards a future event less a $75 administrative fee.
