LSC BMWCCA Presents The 2010 Lone Star BMW Fall Driver's Education Weekend
and Club Race!
The Lone Star Chapter BMWCCA is proud to announce the annual Fall DE (Driving Event) and Club Race at Eagles Canyon Raceway in Slidell, TX. The dates are October 9 - 10, 2010. Registration will be opening on Tuesday, August 31 on motorsportreg.com. Pricing will be $275 for non-solo students, $175 for BMWCCA solo students. Instructor candidate training is available at this event for $300, those wishing to become a BMWCCA HPDE instructor must attend this training and be approved by the CDI. This is NOT a racing school but rather a safe, driver’s education event, conducted on a closed track under close supervision of experienced instructors that will be in your car with you. You will learn how to handle and control your vehicle at speeds not normally attained on public roads. It will allow you to explore your capabilities as a driver and those of your vehicle. It will also help make you a better driver and to prepare you for emergencies in normal everyday driving. The event is open to all drivers 18 years of age and older and all makes of cars. It is not a "BMW only" event. All cars and drivers will be subject to the same safety and inspection requirements. You will be required to take your car to a mechanic within one month of the event. There is a tech inspection form that you must bring with you to the event that the mechanic information and signature must be on that sheet. If you have not had this tech inspection done, there will be no provision to have this done at the event and you will not be allowed to run nor will you be given a refund. If you drive an open top car please refer to our convertible rules page. All registration will be handled online for this event. We anticipate filling up quickly, so register promptly! Registration does not guarantee acceptance. Cancellations will be allowed up to 2 weeks before the event without penalty less any credit cards fees incurred.
