Tire Rack Street Survival Oct 13

The school will be held on October 13 2013 at LaGrave Field in Ft. Worth, TX. Info/registration is at www.streetsurvival.org.

Tire Rack Street Survival goes beyond antiquated high-school driver education programs, which put more focus on classroom theory and parallel parking rather than controlling a two-ton vehicle at speed.

The primary emphasis of the Tire Rack Street Survival program is a “hands-on” driving experience in real-world situations! We use your own car to teach you about its handling limits and how you can control them.

The students will become more observant of the traffic situation they find themselves in. They will learn to look far enough ahead to anticipate unwise actions of other drivers. As the students master the application of physics to drive their cars, they will make fewer unwise driving actions themselves. They will understand why they should always wear their own seatbelts, and why they should insist that their passengers wear seatbelts, too.

Up Coming Tours!!!

To all:

We have been having some interesting weekend scheduling challenges but we’re seeing the light at the end of the tunnel!!   Would everyone check their calendars for two upcoming tours?

Saturday, Oct 5th – We’d like to gather in Cleburne at our favorite Home Depot parking lot on hwy 67 at 1:45 pm for a short drivers’ meeting and a 2pm departure.

Our destination will be a 5:30 pm dinner reservation on the west side of DFW.  More details on that in the next couple of days when we work out the reservation details.

Saturday, Nov 16th – We’d like to gather in Crandall at the Cotton Gin Restaurant on hwy 175 at 1:45pm for a drivers’ meeting with a 2 pm departure.

Our destination will be back to my home town of Mineola for Saturday night dinner at Kitchen’s Hardware Store!  We’ll see if we can line up the tables in the Hardware Store again for that extra bit of ambiance that Kitchen’s is so well known for!

At both dinners, we’ll be discussing potential destinations for a bigger Spring Tour.

And, as always, if you can rsvp to us with a headcount in your party, it helps us accommodate everyone with the dinner reservations!
