Sat, 6/4 9:45a – 1:00p: Hutchins BBQ post Cafs & Coffee run
Brian George is leading (bgeorge0049@gmail.com) our group out of Cars & Coffee (meet point: SMU Plano Campus parking lot 5326 Tennyson Pkwy, Plano, TX 75024).  This will be a morning drive North and East of the Plano area arriving at Hutchins BBQ in McKinney for lunch.  Maps are here.  Brian currently has 5 cars signed up.  Please let us know if you are planning to join.

  • July
    • CANCELLING the 4-day event; 2-5th: New Mexico or Colorado (4th of July to be in some city to watch) (Ray)
    • 2nd: Fun run for July 4th (Ray)
    • NEW Sunday, 17th: Afternoon Drive starting about 3:00p probably at Buckee’s in front of Texas Motor Speedway (TMS).
  • August
    • 6th: Gimmick Rally (Brian, Ray)

Make your plans now to participate on the Gimmick Rally.  Last year we had 5 teams participate and it was a great event.  We’ll be shortening the length to about 200 miles and be closer to the DFW area as the end point.  You will need both a driver and a navigator to participate but if you are only one part of the equation, sign-up now and we’ll work to pair the participants.

  • 23-28th: OktoberFest (Monterry, CA) – interested in traveling together? Maybe another trip down the Extraterrestrial Highway, Yosemite?
  • Sept
    • 10th: Texas Forts Trail (Ray)
    • 30-Oct 2nd: Santa Fe Concorso (no planned trip as yet)

    • 8th – 16th: Tail of the Dragon and possible Performance Center trip (Brian)

LSC BMWCCA Auto Cross #4

Summer fun!

It’s time to come and enjoy our next autocross.

Registration is open for the 2016 LSC BMWCCA AutoX #4 event on
Saturday, June 11th @ Mineral Wells. All makes are welcome.

Online registration is available until 6PM the Friday before the event. Cost is $30.
We will also accept credit card payment on site, if maximum capacity has NOT been reached. The total cost for on site payment is $40.

Tech Inspection:
All participant vehicles must pass Tech Inspection on site. Have your car emptied, unlocked, with numbers, hood and trunk up.
The inspection begins at 8:00 am and will close at 9:00 am.

Novice Meeting:
You need to attend this meeting if this is your first time out with our club.
Novice meeting starts at 8:30 and is followed by a course walk.

Worker Assignment:
All participants are required to work during runs when they are not driving.
The assignments will be posted on the club van before the meetings.

Mandatory Driver’s Meeting at 9:10 am.

First car planned to start at 9:30 am.
Normally we will have 5 runs in the morning and 5 runs in the afternoon. 10 total runs per driver if the schedule allows!

After the morning runs we will take a 45 minute lunch break, during which time we will provide grilled hot dogs (weather permitting).

Sat, 5/28 9:00p – ~12:30p: Rockett Run
We’ll be starting Memorial Day weekend off with a half-day tour of the South-east area of the Dallas side of town.  We’ll start at Denny’s in Seagoville (Cotton Gin of Crandell is still closed) at 9:00a (400 US-175 Frontage Rd, Seagoville, TX 75159).  Arrive early to have breakfast with a few of us.  We’ll head out after a quick driver’s meeting and travel around the area and arrive at Rockett Cafe (5790 FM813, Waxahachie, TX 75165) about 12:30p.  Raymond Mimick is leading this one and you can let him know by email at rmimick@iname.com.  The maps are available here.

NOVICE registration for the weekend is now…OPEN. $800 for BOTH Saturday and Sunday. These  will fill quickly. There are no single day novice on the weekend. If you want a single day novice registration that is available on Friday. Please see http://texastrifecta.com/ to register.
