This page contains the 2022 tour list and the maps we used for the tour group.  Road conditions may have changed or destinations may no longer be present (ie, restaurant has closed or changed hands).  Enjoy our past tours or look for some ideas for your future road travels.

This list may change through out 2022:

Sat, 1/1/2022: Hair of the Dog.  Join us for our seventh-annual DFW copy of Houston’s Hair of the Dog event celebrating a new year with twisty roads and enjoyable friends.  Starting Point: Texas Smokehouse II (Shell) (3313 S Burleson Blvd, Alvarado, TX 76009-5935, United States) @ 9:00a; Ending Point: Del Norte Tacos (101 TX-171, Godley, TX 76044) @noon  Maps

Sat 2/12: Sam Gill to lead group into East Texas territory with a starting point of Buc-ee’s in Terrell and we’ll head toward Palestine, TX for lunch. Maps

Sat 3/5: Dennis to do a picnic lunch tour from Lavon (7-Eleven 991 S STATE HIGHWAY 78, Lavon, TX) to Bonham State Park. Maps Part 1, Part 2

Sun 3/20: Starting from Vintage Flying Museum (leaving around 2:30p), we’ll head out and circle up to Decatur and then return back toward Fort Worth and end at The BBQ Ranch. The Vintage Flying Museum is located at Mecham Airport in North Fort Worth (820N and Business 287) and opens at noon on Sundays. The plan would be for some to come at noon and enjoy the aircraft and then we will leave and drive around and end back in North Fort Worth. Maps

Sat, 4/16 (Easter Weekend): Cranfills Gap – starting from QT in Burleson nearest to Joshua, TX (2690 SW Wilshire Blvd, Burleson, TX 76028), we’ll take our group out and drive some interesting roads to end in Cranfills Gap at the Horny Toad Bar & Grill. Maps

Sat 4/23: Dennis Blue Bonnet tour around the Ennis, TX area. This can move to Sunday if there is rain on Saturday. This will NOT be on the official Bluebonnet Festival in Ennis as that is the first weekend in April.

Fri- Sun 5/13-5/15: Ray Galveston Journey – we’ll work to see Spindle Top, NASA, San Jacinto, Kemah Beach. Day 1, Day 2, Day 3

Sat 6/4: Ray FM4 journey with lunch and potentially dinner to be planned as part of it. Maps

Sat 6/18: Ray Will end in Nocona, TX with a visit to Horton’s Car Museum. Maps

Sat 7/9: Sam and FM455 – Starting from downtown Farmersville and ending in Muenster, TX.  Maps

Sun 8/7: Valley View to McKinney’s Hutchins BBQ. Maps

9/27-10/2 National Event: Ofest Forever in Palm Springs CA

Tue-Mon 10/4-10/10: Dennis Albuquerque Balloon Festival and maybe Trinity Site or Toas, NM. Itinerary

Sat 11/12: Frisco to Sherman back to Valley View. Maps

Sat 12/3: Sam to lead to downtown Denton for lunch. Maps
